Processus d'extraction:

  1. Deparaffinization: Xylene removes paraffin wax, a common component used to preserve tissues.
  2. Lysis and Digestion: A special solution (lysate) and an enzyme (protease) break down cells and proteins, releasing nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) into the solution.
  3. De-Crosslinking: Heating at 90°C reverses the effects of formalin fixation, allowing easier access to nucleic acids.
  4. Binding to Silica Membrane: After adjusting conditions with ethanol, the sample is transferred to a column. DNA/RNA binds to the silica membrane, while proteins pass through.
