Principle
- Sample Homogenization and Lysis: Soil or stool samples are homogenized and treated in a specially formulated buffer containing detergent. This process effectively lyses bacteria, yeast, and fungal samples.
- Removal of Contaminants: Our proprietary Absorber Solution is utilized to remove humic acid, proteins, polysaccharides, and other contaminants from the lysed sample.
- DNA Binding and Column Application: After adjusting binding conditions, the treated sample is applied to a DNA Mini Column, facilitating the binding of DNA to the column matrix.
- Rapid Wash Steps: Two rapid wash steps are employed to remove trace contaminants, ensuring the purity of the extracted DNA.
- Elution of Purified DNA: Pure DNA is eluted from the column in a low ionic strength buffer, providing high-quality, purified DNA ready for downstream applications.
- Direct Use in Downstream Applications: The purified DNA can be directly used in downstream applications without the need for further purification steps, streamlining laboratory workflows and saving time.

Storage and Stability
- Absorber Solution Storage: Upon arrival, the Absorber Solution should be stored at 2-8°C. However, it can also be stored at room temperature (15-25°C) for short-term periods (up to 24 weeks) without affecting its performance.
- Remaining Kit Components: The remaining components of the kit can be stored dry at room temperature (15-25°C). They remain stable for at least 18 months under these conditions, ensuring their efficacy and performance over an extended period.
